Synposis
Marilyn is a mother, homemaker, and wife to a rising star at his firm. One day, she receives a mysterious package that reveals a side of her husband she didn't know existed, throwing her once perfect life into disarray.
“What Marilyn Didn’t Know” is a short film about a suburban family living the quintessential American dream. Marilyn, a mother, and homemaker lives a life most people envy. She has two beautiful children, and her husband is a rising star at his firm. One day, she receives a mysterious package that sends her life into a whirlwind. It reveals a side of her husband she didn’t know existed, throwing her once-perfect life into disarray. Marilyn struggles to choose between the moral obligation to protect her family or intervene and go to the authorities to save the innocent. She begins to ponder if she even has a choice in the matter.
This begs the question when put in a compromising position by someone you love - what would you do? Would you take the risk of being identified as an accomplice to a crime? Would you give them up, knowing that you would be responsible for their fate? Or, would you choose to bear the consequences, no matter what comes your way? These were the questions I chose to explore in this short film.
